Domaine Lebreuil Paul, Pierre and now Jean-Baptiste, three generations have succeeded one another in the property of Pierre and Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil.
In 1999, Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil came to work on the farm and took the necessary steps to settle in with his parents. Previously, he obtained a Technico Commercial diploma in Wines and Spirits at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune. In addition, to increase his knowledge, he did numerous internships in France (Bordeaux) but also abroad (Argentina, Australia). He also obtained his Wine and Spirits Broker card.
Vineyard care is carried out in the most traditional way possible in Burgundy, despite using modern equipment and techniques. “Since 2012, I have been inspired by biodynamics in my growing practices to obtain healthy, natural and highest quality grapes possible,” says Jean-Baptiste. The High Environmental Value (HEV) certification was achieved in 2021, demonstrating another big step in respect for the ecosystem and biodiversity.
Wine production is also carried out in a very traditional way: the harvest is done by hand and a rigorous selection is carried out on the vineyard.
With both whites and reds, the Domaine strives to make typical Burgundy wines, respecting the terroir, grape variety and appellation. The wines are, in general, quite fruity, delicate and very elegant and, however, capable of long aging, thanks to the fine tannins.
It farms 13 hectares of vines in the villages of Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Volnay and Pommard in regional, village and 1er cru red and white appellations.
Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru is 100% Chardonnay at an altitude of 280 meters and production of approximately 600 bottles per year aged 18 months in oak barrels.
Minerality and finesse are the trend. The well-chiseled palate has an impressive length with the legendary fat and butteriness of the Montagne de Corton.
Pairings: With nothing, it is breathtaking! But also with great fish and perfectly cooked white meats.
